TJB-INC offers complete and comprehensive maintenance packages. Rest assured that when you call and hire our pond professionals to start-up and maintain your water feature, your only concern is to sit back and enjoy your very own little piece of paradise!

Some clients seem concerned if they see any algae in their pond. Some algae must be present and is a sign of a well balanced Ecosystem! Excess algae are a sign of a water imbalance. Typically this results from over-feeding fish, lawn fertilizer application, or other outside variables that the water feature has been exposed to. Our experts can diagnose and help remedy these problems for you!

Spring Start-up Ultimate Care Visit

Our Spring Start-up Ultimate Care service is intended to give your pond or water feature the ultimate jump-start for the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. This visit includes the following services:

• Install and test pump(s).
• Clean and inspect the skimmer basket, skimmer filters, and BioFalls filters. (replace if necessary)
• Check the water level and adjust the auto-fill valve (if so equipped.)
• Add beneficial bacteria as necessary.
• Check the general appearance of the pond and fix exposed rubber, potential leak areas, etc.
• Add rocks & gravel as needed (please pre-notify us if you need these)
• Inspect the stream and/or waterfall to ensure proper water flow.
• Check for shifted pond rocks and adjust as necessary.
• Inspect, trim and thin aquatic plants as necessary.
• Remove debris from pond bottom.
• Inspect and adjust lights.
• Replace bulbs as necessary.
• Add Barley Bales to BioFalls.
• Pressure clean rocks and waterfall based on the client's request.
• Refill pond with clean water (arrange water delivery if necessary).
• Add EcoStarter Water Treatment (to make the water safe for fish).

Spring Start-up Ultimate Care Visit cost:
Service charge* + $65.00 per man hour + parts + sales tax

Fall/Winter Shutdown Ultimate Care Visit

Our Fall Shutdown Ultimate Care service is intended to give your pond or water feature the ultimate jump-start for the Winter season. This visit includes the following services:

• Remove Check Valve & pump(s).
• Clean and inspect the skimmer basket & skimmer filters for excess debris.
• Check the water level and drain the auto-fill valve (if so equipped) and supply pipe.
• Add Cold Water beneficial bacteria as necessary
• Cover and/or remove pond & stream(s) with netting (if requested).
• Inspect the stream and/or waterfall to ensure proper water flow.
• Check for shifted pond rocks and adjust as necessary.
• Remove annual water garden plants (IE: Floaters, & Tropicals).
• Remove excess debris from pond bottom.

Fall/Winter Ultimate Care Visit cost:
Service charge* + $65.00 per man hour + parts + sales tax

*Service charge is based upon your distance from our Hamden location. Travel time is factor.

Ultimate Care Single Maintenance Visit

Our Ultimate Care Single Maintenance Visit is available to anyone that owns a pond or water feature and would like to have our professionals provide maintenance service. The Ultimate Care Single Maintenance Visit includes the following services:

• Clean and inspect the skimmer basket and skimmer filters.
• Check the water level and adjust the auto-fill valve (if so equipped.)
• Add beneficial bacteria as necessary.
• Check the general appearance of the pond and fix exposed rubber, potential leak areas, etc.
• Inspect the stream and/or waterfall to ensure proper water flow.
• Inspect and trim aquatic plants as necessary.
• Remove debris from pond bottom.
• Application of Ecoblast or GreenClean to stream and/or waterfall if necessary.
• Manual removal of string algae.
• Application of S.A.B.
• Check for shifted pond rocks.
• Application of EcoBarley as needed.
• Application of EcoCarbon as needed.

NOTE: Spring Start-up & Fall/Winter service is not included in this package and is billed separately from the yearly maintenance contract.

Ultimate Care Yearly Maintenance Contract

(for existing TJB-INC Clients)

Our Ultimate Care Yearly Maintenance Contract service is the most comprehensive maintenance package! Hire our pond professionals to totally maintain your water feature for an entire season! The Ultimate Care Yearly Maintenance Contract includes the following services:

• Monthly visits to your pond
• Clean and inspect the skimmer basket and skimmer filters.
• Check the water level and adjust the auto-fill valve (if so equipped.)
• Add beneficial bacteria as necessary.
• Check the general appearance of the pond and fix exposed rubber, potential leak areas, etc.
• Inspect the stream and/or waterfall to ensure proper water flow.
• Inspect and trim aquatic plants as necessary.
• Remove debris from pond bottom.
• Application of Ecoblast or Green Clean to stream and/or waterfall if necessary.
• Manual removal of string algae.
• Application of S.A.B.
• Check for shifted pond rocks.
• Application of EcoBarley as needed.
• Application of EcoCarbon as needed.
• Includes Fall/Winter Shut down service

As you can see, we provide varying levels of pond services. We hope that one of these will fit your needs. Your pond will be maintained and serviced as if it were our own! We will use as much care and respect while servicing your pond as we can, but we cannot be in control of everything that is or could be affecting your pond or the animals in your pond. Therefore, we cannot be held responsible for any water quality or animal health issues that may arise during or after the services that we provide.
