TJB-INC has been installing real putting greens for years. However, the daily upkeep and the chemicals needed to maintain lush playable turf was more than most golfers had time for. In 1997, we started installing synthetic putting greens. These greens have a realistic look, feel and play of a true country club putting green. Our synthetic greens are designed to have the exact same characteristics of a natural green. Several differences give our greens an advantage:
- No maintenance - no need for fertilizer, watering or mowing.
- Professionally installed by TJB-INC skilled workman.
- Weather resistant - holds up in rain, snow, ice and direct sunlight.
- Can be used all year - a 24-hour putting and chipping practice facility.
- Increases value of your home - looks great in any landscape.
We can custom install a synthetic putting green in Southern New England starting at $15.00 per sq. ft. plus $100.00 per installed regulation cup with 18" sleeve. (We do add for mileage and overnight hotel stays for installations outside of our local service area.) Most single-width installations under 450 sq. ft. can be installed in one or two days with our installation team. Our pricing schedule is based upon your site conditions, accessibility for our equipment, and distance from our Hamden CT. location. Bunker construction and supporting landscaping is available at an additional cost. Site consultations outside of our local area (New Haven County) will be charged for time and mileage (which will be deducted from any installation sale within 60 days of the consultation).
Our greens are designed to the customer's specifications, accompanied by our professional assessment, which is backed by our extensive experience in the proper evaluation, design, and installation of the green in relation to location, climate, and the wishes of the customer. During the design process, we consider carefully with the customer important considerations such as, the size & type of the putting surface, the slope of the land and how it will affect the layout of the green, specific undulations and tiers built into the putting surface, fringe areas, chipping areas, sand bunker viability, and other golf accessories and landscaping ideas that could enhance the esthetics of the finished product.
Putting Green Consultation (an additional mileage fee may be added, depending upon location):
- Fee: $65.00 per consultation (plus tax)
- Payment for consultation is due at time of consultation. This charge will be deducted from any Synthetic Putting Green Construction Contract signed with TJB-INC. within 60 days of consultation date.
- We will help you determine, size, type, placement of the green in your location.
- For the Do-It-Yourselfer, we will also assist you in locating local sub-base materials, installation tools & equipment, and installation techniques that will save you time and money.
- Samples of synthetic turf, supporting literature and installation DVD are available if desired.
