Best Superfluous Landscaping
New Haven Advocate
2002
The Gulf gas station opposite Colonial Tyme Restaurant in Hamden.
Normally mulch and candy wrappers are sufficient ground-covering at filling stations, but obviously this owner seems to be sensitive to the feng shui needs of its customers. A trickling manmade pond over flat rocks adds a bucolic element to a place normally reserved for gas fumes and beef jerky.
